Cruising with Jo-EL

October 2006 found Jo-EL, Bobbye, band and crew setting sail with Norwegian Cruise Lines on a two week cruise to Mexico, Guatemala and Belize. It was so successful that the cruise line has already rebooked Jo-EL to cruise again in November 2007. Not only will he cruise but he will also bring along hundreds of his friends and fans who book the cruise through Travel Machine Travel Agency in Lafayette, Louisiana.

The ship will set sail from the Port of New Orleans on November 25th, 2007 and returns on December 2nd, 2007. Cruisers will be treated to 2 concerts, a dance performance, a private meet and greet and a special in the round question and answer session with Jo-EL. If you have ever wanted to take a cruise and hang out with the legendary Jo-EL Sonnier, then you will not want to miss this opportunity. Special guest joining Jo-EL on the cruise will be Charlie Rich Jr., son of the legendary “Silver Fox”, Charlie Rich. Recorded live in Eunice, Louisiana during a weekly radio program, Rendez Vous des Cajuns on November 18, 2006 at the famous Liberty Theater. The DVD features 1 hour and 25 minutes of live music, including performances in both English and French. Jo-EL and his band, “Louisiana Pride”, along with special guest Terry Huval & Marty Broussard delivers a fun filled night of music. Hosted by Barry Ancelet, the performance is broken up with a quick interview between songs, conducted in both French and English. As you watch the show, it becomes clearly evident how much passion and soul that Jo-EL delivers in each and every song. This wasn’t recorded to ever be released but, after realizing the significance of this performance at this historic theater, it quickly became clear that it had to be made available for others to witness.
